TurboCAD 2018 uses a Universe Installer, meaning that the same .EXE file is used to install all four versions of TurboCAD 2018 – Designer, Deluxe, Expert and Pro Platinum.  Accordingly, in order to have two or more versions of TurboCAD 2018 running on your computer simultaneously, you must follow these steps.

1. Install the first version of TurboCAD.  You do this as you would any prior version – download the EXE, run it, enter your Serial #, and then when running it the first time, enter the Activation Key you were also sent.  

In the following steps, we will follow the process of starting with TurboCAD Designer and then getting a second version of TurboCAD 2018, Deluxe running on your computer.  With the Universal Installer, you can install both more feature-rich as well as less feature-rich versions to run simultaneously on your machine.

2. With TurboCAD Designer running on your machine, click the Help menu at the top of the program and choose the last option, About TurboCAD:

The following screen appears:

Click ‘Upgrade’

3. After clicking ‘Upgrade’, you will see the following menu, which will display your TurboCAD Designer Serial # in the serial number field:

4. Now, take the Serial # and Activation Keys you have received for the second version of TurboCAD 2018 (Deluxe) and enter these into their respective fields:

Click ‘Activate’ and the following screen appears:

Click ‘OK’ and this screen appears:

Choose ‘No’

5. At this point you now will have the ability to run both the Designer version (already running) and the Deluxe version.  To get your copy of Deluxe running,, go to the Windows Start menu at the lower right corner of monitor and click on the TurboCAD 2018  program icon:

6. A second version of TurboCAD 2018 will begin to load, this time the Deluxe version.  As with Designer, choose the type of User Interface you wish to run with the program.  Once the Deluxe version is running, you can verify that there are multiple versions running by clicking on the TurboCAD 2018 program icon which should appear at the bottom of the monitor display.  It should show two instances of TurboCAD 2018 running:

7. Please Note:   If you close down both instances of TurboCAD 2018, you will have to repeat the above process in order to have both versions run simultaneously.  Because TurboCAD ‘remembers’ the last version activated, when you re-load TurboCAD 2018, the Deluxe version will appear and you will need to follow the above steps to get TurboCAD Designer 2018 running simultaneously.
