In DesignCAD when you want to create a dimension open the dimension "Text" dialog and select the appropriate font. Then open the "Prefix/Suffix" dialog and paste the symbol in the appropriate place. 

When you create the dimension the symbol will show in the dimension text.

You also need to remember to change the font back to whatever you use for normal text or you will get the symbol font.
